RAID: Can I have resiliency on the system drive (contains boot partition)

Hi there,

I have built a small Windows Server containing 3X 500GB Hard Drives for application development.

At the moment only one disk is being used. What I was hoping to do is a RAID5 with all three disks. However for what I've been seeing on Disk Management, this might not be possible. Could someone please confirm?

Basically what I need is some sort of resiliency that will include the system partition. Since this is a small server for development which will only be used by me, I was hoping to make just one big volume of 1TB (0.5TB would be used for parity).

Any suggestions on how to proceed? If I can't have the RAID, what would be my alternatives?

Thanks in advance for the help.

Regards,

P.
