Hello all,
I am trying to Install Win2k8 R2 to an iSCSI disk on a Dell M620 blade that does not have a local physical disk.
A little about our environment: We have an EqualLogic iSCSI SAN. The M620 currently boots to Redhat Enterprise Linux via iSCSI. it has 2 Broadcom NetExtreme II 57810 NICS. Windows is not currently installed. I have injected the Broadcom drivers into the Win2k8 ISO and am able to boot to that DVD over the network and begin windows setup, however windows setup does not see any of the broadcom drivers in said ISO. It also does not see the 2nd iSCSI disk as a drive where windows can be installed, due to not seeing the drivers. This is also NOT the NIC that is the boot target for RHEL. My goal is to be able to install windows to the 2nd NIC and boot to windows from that iSCSI target. I am also NOT using WIndows Storage Server. I thought that injecting the drivers into the ISO would resolve this issue, but it has not. Another possible to solution would be HBA/iSCSI offload, however I would really like to be able to complete the install via iSCSI.
Any assisstance would be Greatly appreciated and Thanks in Advance. I will be watching this thread closely for responses, if any other information is needed feel free to ask.
