Share spanning multiple drives?

I am working in a small network environment and want have a network share that, regrettably, is set up like this:

"Project-Research (A-H)"
"Project-Research (I-R)"
"Project-Research (S-Z)"
"Project-Production (Project Files)"

Where (A-H) represents the research on objects starting with A through H, the next share is I-R, the next share is S-Z. This is a terrible setup but each share is about 500-700GB and they are on separate 1TB drives.

What I would like to do is be able to have a share like \\server\project_research which would then have the 'A-H' share, the 'I-R' share, and the 'S-Z' share all within it. Essentially I would like to have a 'share' which is not restricted to the drive it is currently on. I would like to be able to do this without having to buy new HDDs or resort to a RAID solution. I thought DFS might be a solution but then realized it requires multiple servers, ect.

Any advice would be much appreciated! Thank you!

PS-I am running an up to date Win2008 server and 4 Win7 Pro/Ultimate workstations.
