DiskSpaceThreshold in Server 2008 R2 64 Bit

I'm trying to configure a disk space threshold on a 2008 64 bit server so that event 2013 is logged when my free space reaches a certain point. I'm doing a test of 99% ensure it works as expected, I will change the value to what I really need if it does. Using the info at http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc786996%28v=ws.10%29 I can't get it to generate an entry. Is this key valid in Server 08? Is there something else that needs to be done for this key to be recognized? I set the same key and used 64Bit QWORD but I get the following error in the File Server log as soon as I do.

"The value named DiskSpaceThreshold in the server's registry key LanmanServer\Parameters was not valid and was ignored. If you want to change the value, change it to one that is the correct type and is within the acceptable range, or delete the value to use default. This value might have been set up by an older program that did not use the correct boundries."
