Mirroring System and Boot partitions

My overall goal is to boot from SAN instead of local disk without reinstalling the OS or all my applications.  I have to use Windows disk mirroring.  Here's my current setup:

Disk 0  (all MBR)

Partition 1 - System Reserve (System) 100m

Partition 2 - c: (boot, page file, crash dump)

Disk 1 (SAN disk)

Partion 1 - System Reserved (it is a system partition until I remove the mirror)

Parition 2 - c: (boot, page file, crash dump)

I have used diskpart to mark disk 1 part 1 as active but that does not move that "System" parition type designation over that I need.

Any ideas what to do next?

Thanks,

Aaron
