Hello Windows Experts,
Do you happen to know what are the theoritical maximums of Windows 2012 file shares and number of files that a single Windows Storage Server 2012 Standard Edition can support.
I wish to know the theoritical limitation on both NTFS and ReFS File Systems.
A customer is asking for example if a single Windows Storage Server 2012 can support at least 5.000 file shares and 10.000.000 files.
He also wants to know what are the equivalent maximum in order to compare them with a Non-Windows NAS solution although clients that will use Windows 2012 Storage Server NAS capabililties are only Microsoft Windows 7 clients.
Any information will be highly appreciated. Even a link or document will also be sufficient if available.
Regards,
John Alexandris
