I'm trying to create a basic storage pool running Windows Server 2012. The Primordial pool only contains two drives, PhysicalDisk5 and PhysicalDisk9. These are the only two drives in the system that do not have volumes or data, so this is correct. When
I create a new storage pool it asks me to select the drives that will be used. Both disks 5 and 9 show up, and I selected both and created the Storage Pool. However, after creation the storage pool contains PhysicalDisk7 and PhysicalDisk9. This is a fairly
critical error since PhysicalDisk7 has an NTFS volume and is 97% full already. I can verify that it is selecting the wrong disk because both disks 5 and 9 are 3TB while disk 7 is 2TB. Strangely enough, PhysicalDisk7 does not go offline when this happens, and
the Primordial storage pool no longer contains any disks, even though it should still have PhysicalDisk5, if that wasn't used in the pool. Anyone have any explanation, or is this just another Windows bug?
