=> WTSnapshotProvider

The Server 2012 has dedup going, McAfee AV, and IBM Trivoli TSM Backup s/w running. The last two likely to use shadow copies as well as the OS ?

=> Any ideas what the problem is or who is the process wanting to do this item ?

Under

HKEY LOCAL MACHINE\SYSTEM\CURRENT CONTROL SET\SERVICES\VSS\PROVIDERS

 there is 3 Microsoft names :

- Microsoft iSCSI Target VSS Hardware Provider
- Microsoft File Share Shadow Copy provider
- Microsoft Software Shadow Copy provider 1.0

NB: It is a vmware vCenter v5 VM but NO migration services etc are being requested, only the latest vmware tools installed.

Thanks
