I recently changed a PW for a user on 2003 Server, by going into Computer Mgmt w/ admin rights, opening the user and checking "must change pw at next login" User has the ability to change their PW - the denial checkbox is not marked. Active
Directory is not installed on this server. The user connects to the server in two ways - one using Remote Desktop and the other accessing file shares. User OS is Win 7 Home Premium. When the user tried to connect via Remote Desktop, they
logged in successfully and were prompted to change their PW. But, they are now unable to connect to the share, using the new PW or the old one. They do get challenged by Windows, so it's not a connectivity problem, and getting access denied as
if they had just entered the wrong username/pw combo. I've tried resetting again, and still no luck. Has anyone seen this before and is there a fix?
