I have a weird issue with our file servers that is affecting a number of folders. This is affecting folders that are and are not replicated.
Here are the symptoms:
-In the root of the drive I can create and rename items
-In most folders I can create items, modify data, but not rename items (files or folders)
-I am able to modify data in any of the items
-In the folders that I can not rename items, if I browse to a sub folder in one of the folders that is having issues, I am able to rename items
-New folders created on the root of the drive work correctly
The effective permissions for my user account show all items checked, and this check between a working and non-working folder is identical. The permissions of the non-working folders do not inherit permissions from the parent. Changing the folder to inherit does not resolve the issue. The standard permissions are set as follows:
-Administrators - Full
-AD Group (F) - Full
-AD Group (R) - Read
The Creator Owner shows no access, but is listed the same way in working folders. The folders are shared and replicated with DFSR. DFSR is in 2000 mode. I am flat out stumped on this one...
