Guys,
I have an interesting issue. I have a windows 2000 box where a single particular directory has more than 4 million files in it. This seemed to cause the OS to blue screen and when the system booted chkdsk ran obvsiously. It's still runnig after 20 days :)
Thee files are of no uses and are infact just simple errorlogs that we could delete. Is there any utility (possible a linux utility on bootable media?) that I could use to delete the metada form the $mft for that directry?
