I have installed the Windows Storage Server Basic - Service Pack 1. I use the built-in iSCSI initiator to access a block storage device on the network.
I am able to see the device and format it. I can read from it. However when I try to do writes to it (via a vdbench workload) I get the error "Windows System Error code: 5: Access is Denied."
Diskpart reports that the Disk/Volume is not READ-ONLY (Read-only : No). I have used the Disk Management GUI to initialize and create a Simple volume. Followed the instructions from "Installing and Configuring Microsoft iscsi Initiator - october 7, 2009 - To format the hard disk drive"
What am I doing wrong/not doing?
thanks
Priya
