We have an issue where our Users share (F:/) on one of our file servers is getting dangerously close to the 2TB limit. We would like to add another Share and split the data up in some manner to avoid having a drive max out at 2TB.
I am wondering if DFS could be used to create a share of 4TB consisting of the two 2TB drives. We do not have the second drive created as we are exploring options at this point. Dynamic disk is not something our VM admin is very thrilled with and I obviously don't want to go through the process os moving numerous users to another drive and modifying the AD Profile's Home folder path.
Can DFS be used to consolidate 2 drives on the same server to circumvent the 2TB storage limit?
