Hi,
I have adjusted the Staging area sizes in line with the Technet advice and made them significantly larger than the default. I now have quite a bit of wasted space as the Staging areas are not being completely purged. As I understand it, the system will start to purge the staging area when it reaches the High Watermark (90% of the Staging Area size) and stop purging when it gets down to the Low Watermark (60%). I can't see the point of leaving the Staging Area 60% full. I can't envisage adding another replication member, so I'd like to understand why the Low Watermark is there at all? What is the point of leaving the Staging area with only 40% headroom?
Can someone clear this up for me please?
This is Windows Server 2008R2.
regards
Dave
