DFS issues

Hi,

I have two domains (domain1 and domain2) which have 2 way trust

I was trying to create a DFS link on domain1 named \\domain1\root\abc which will point to the dfs root of domain2 (domain2\root). The idea for doing so is domain1 users can access the DFS root folders of domain2 while they are on domain1 DFS folder.

I have created the DFS link on domain1 as described above. But unfortunately when i try to access the folder "abc" in domain1 it throws an error saying that "Network Drive Not accessible
Configuration information could not be read from the domain controller, either because the machine is unavailable, or access has been denied."

When i try to create the dfs link on domain1 by directly targeting the target server in domain2 it works fine. issue with this setup is i need to create indvidual DFS link on domain1  and everytime if there is any new dfs link created on domain 2 then i need to create the dfs link on domain2. To avoid this scenario i want to create one folder in domain1 which directly points to the root folder of domain2 . So that if there is any changes in the DFS structure of domain2, then it will reflect in domain1 also

Please can you advice on this

Thanks in advance
