Cleaning up staging folders after all DFS replication is removed.

I used DFS Replication to move files from 1 server to another. When the replication was in synch, I then removed the original share from the replication group. Then the old server was demoted, removed from the domain and decommisioned. Now I have a new single-server domain at a small site with all the file shares on it. DFS has no replication groups any more (there is nowhere to replicate to).

My disk with the shares ahs many GB of DFSR staging files in System Volume Information that have not gone away. I don't have any replication groups any more, so I can't change their quotas!

How do I get rid of the staging files?

Can I just delete the whole tree structure inside System Volume Information?
