Hi guys,
Our file servers are 2003r2 and our users sometimes have issues where other users have a file open and there is a lock on a file. They then call our helpdesk and the helpdesk tries to go into compmgmt.msc and connect to the fileserver, where the helpdesk has full NTFS permissions to the data. The helpdesk says that they are unable to "Close the Open File" . Is there anything I can do to enable this for our helpdesk? without them having to be an Admin on the server?
