detecting "unknown" disk from iSCI storage to a stand alone SQL server

Hi All,

I would like to get your inputs regarding our situation on a current implementation:

Under production, we have a 2-node SQL Cluster Service running with 3 shared volumes (drive M, S, U).

Under DR, there is a stand-alone SQL server that should be able to read/write from the shared volumes at PROD at the same time.

Both PROD and DR servers (clustered and stand-alone) uses iSCI presented volumes (iSCI HP P4000 is configured as Multi-Site HA with 2-node storage clusters per site - 4 way mirror).  The disks at PROD should be visible to DR but currently, DR disks are showing as "unknown".

Would like to get your opinion on this.  We are suspecting that the server clustering should be a stretch cluster rather than local clustering.

Any feedback is very much appreciated.

Thanks,

Hannah
