On one of our windows 2008 r2 servers. I have extended the volume from 600Gb to 700GB. I got a error message saying device doesnot recognise the command. But the weird thing is that the disk manager shows as 700Gb but windows explorer shows as 600GB.
Things I have tried
1.)C:\ > DISKPART
DISKPART> List Volume
DISKPART> select volume # (this is the number of the volume listed by the above ‘List Volume’ command)
DISKPART> extend filesystem
DISKPART> exit
2.) Added a another 1Gb rescanned and extended .Same again
3.) Tried to shrink the volume. I get error message saying the paramater is incorrect
