Server 2003 - cannot import foriegn disk - part of mirror set

Hi,

I have a 2003 server - SP2.  We have a mirror set we boot from running straight IDE on the Intel server motherboard.  There was a problem with the server and we need to pull some data from mirror that was removed from the server.  I have tried on 2 different servers 1. The original server and 2. the server on my work bench.  On both servers I can see the disk as foriegn but when I go to import is simply fails and tells me to contact the administrator. No errors - it just fails.

Anybody got a work around??
