I am using a shred drive running storage server 2008 and there are multiple folders corresponding to multiple applications writing on this shared drive. This drive often runs out of space creating downtime for most of the applications using this space. I want to set a 10GB limit to the folder corresponding to my application. I do not and can not have a say in whether quota can be applied on other folders.
I would like to know whether setting a quota of 10GB for my folder will secure that much space for my application or data written by other apps will still intrude on my space if a quota has not been set on those folders?
