We have two servers "main" and "secondary" at a business. Last week, one of them started having issues, mainly regarding DNS. Many of the issues are resolved, but this problem is ongoing.
Secondary can ping Main, but it can't access any shares on Main (even logged on as Domain Admin). Secondary can access the Internet with no problems. I've tried accessing shares by name and IP address and get the same error: "Windows cannot access\\main\Share. Check the spelling of the name. Otherwise, there might be a problem with your network." Under details: "Error code 0x800704cf. The network location cannot be reached."
We can access the shares from client computers with no problems. The firewall is currently disabled on both servers. Any thoughts?
