File transfer from Windows7 to Server 2008 fails

I have resently loaded and joined a new PC to a domain. The PC is loaded with Windows 7 Profesional 64-bit. The new PC is a replacemnt for an older Windows XP computer.

On the network that the PC is on there is a shared folder on a server running Server 2008 Standard.

I was able to copy files from the PC to the Server with no problem using the old Win XP PC, but after joining the new Win 7 PC file transfer to the same shared folder on the Server is failing with the folowing error message...

Network Error  There is a problem accessing (shared path)  Make sure you are connected to the network and try again

When I click on the try again button I get the same error message. This error message will come up after the file transfer has run for a few minutes. You can see the file populate in the shared folder locaton but when the error message comes up the file disapears from the shared folder.

I have checked to ensure that the permissions are set correctly and that the sharing permissions are set correctly. No other settings were changed on the server and I am using the same ser account on the new PC that I was using on the old PC. This problem only occurs when transfeing file to the server from the PC. I can transfer files from the server to the PC with no problems. Also, I can transfer file from the PC to any other PC on the network with no problems. Lastly, the files I am trying to transfer are not large files, 500 to 800 KB.
