Hi all,
We're currently 2008R2 with a totally Win7 client environment with approximately 200 users who hot desk multiple times a day. We have configured roaming profiles and redirected nearly everything out of the users' profiles. Generally speaking, it works like a charm!
However, as we all know, roaming profiles still will corrupt from time to time. Once a profile corrupts, we ensure the user is logged off everywhere, we then delete the server copy and run a script that deletes all copies from the local drives of the workstations (we do this correctly - ensuring the the registry settings are all cleared up as required in Win7).
This will work for nearly all workstations - when the user logs back onto a 'fresh' client, their profile is recreated nicely and they can continue. Great!
However - my issue is this:On the workstations where the corruption was spread to - even after removing the profile properly, it will not reload properly. It will load with remnants of the pre-reset profile. We've scanned the registry for the SID and the Username and checked for folders on the local drive and completely drawn a blank. Re-imaging the workstation will obviously fix the issue, but where is this hidden profile information stored??
Thanks in advance,
James
