JBOD behavior in 2008 R2?

I am looking to use a Windows 2008 R2 server with an SAS RAID-1 adapter devoted for the operating system.

I also want to add in a separate non RAID 8-port JBOD host bus adapter to attach 8 SATA disks to. The SATA disks will be in hot swappable bays. I will insert the disks one at a time, select GPT and give them a drive letter G-N. For example, slot1-G, slot2-H, slot3-I, slot4-J, slot5-K, slot6-L, slot7-M, slot8-N.

My question is, if I remove disks G-N and re-insert them in different order, will Windows know what drive letter they were or does Windows bind the drive letter to the slot they were originally set up as?
