Hi
We have 2 Windows 2003 Servers that we have replicated data between (using DFS) for the last couple of years.
Recently we lost the Primary Servers replicated drive and had to replace it.
The data was restored and the Server was restarted.
The DFS Management tool states that all is ok with the topology etc. but the data
is no longer being replicated.
Looking through event logs its appears that the WMI service is the cause of this problem.
I produced a report from the DFS management tool and it states :-
Cannot access the local WMI repository.
Description: The DFS Replication reporting mechanism cannot find the WMI (Windows Management Instrumentation) namespace to retrieve certain reporting information. Error ID: 0x8004100e.
Any assistance on how I can resolve this problem would be greatly appreciated.
