sharing video data through vpn

I have a site with a remote office. Right now, they just have internet access and currently they are using the company terminal server until we get the VPN running. We are going to be installing some Cisco routers to provide a VPN between the two offices. Remote site users will be logging into the domain and all stations will have Active Sync turned on.

Our problem is that we have a department in the main office that uses video information and the new off site staff also need to be using this same data. Currently, there is 800GB of data that they have in that folder. Video streaming through the terminal server is slow and choppy. There is approximately 1GB of video data which is added to the server every 4 months.

My plan is to install a NAS box (RAID1/2TB drives) and PC running Windows 2008 R2 in the remote site. With that, I was going to set up DFS and have it run over the VPN. I have tested this out with a test network that I've set up and it appears to work. In this case, the users accessing the videos will access it from the on-site NAS box and should have quick access. Any data saved will be replicated over the VPN through DFS.

My question is; Is this the best way of sharing this type of data across a VPN?
