Hi everybody,
Environment:
Branche offices and Main office: W2K8 R2 SP1, WAN connection, DFS Clients: Windows 7 Enterprise, domain based DFS
Branch: DFS-N has been set up to be the first among all targets, whereas the DFS-N in the main office has been set to be the last among all targets.
Main office and brance offices are in different sites.
In addition, on all DFS-N servers the option: 'Exclude all clients outside this site..' has been set.
There is no Domain Controller in the affiliate. DFS clients in the affiliate log on to DC's in the main office.
Despite of all aforementioned precautions DFS clients STILL access the main office DFS-N, which should not be the case. They must access only the DFS-N server in the branche office.
Can somebody please advice why this happens and how to direct the DFS clients only to their local DFS-N server? Would the Insite command help here?
Any help is really highly appreciated.
Thanks.
